Scientifically-Based Research

Thousands of schools and millions of students across America have experienced success in CEI's® Essential Learning Systems (ELS) and Mathematical Learning Systems (MLS) labs.  Science Learning Systems (SLS) was launched in Summer 2009.  Many, many educators ask what it is about these remarkable programs that makes them so effective with struggling learners of all ages.  Others ask for the scientific evidence that grounds them.  In response to these similar questions, CEI commissioned comprehensive research papers that document the scientifc evidence for each program's (1) content, (2) lesson design, (3) instructional strategies, and (4) implementation features.  Each of the three papers includes a comprehensive bibliography.
