Diversity Statement

Employment:
Creative Education Institute (CEI) is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace. We prohibit discrimination and harassment of any kind based on race, color, sex, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, genetic information, pregnancy, or any other protected characteristic as outlined by federal, state, or local laws.

This policy applies to all employment practices within our organization, including hiring, recruiting, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, leave of absence, compensation, benefits, training, and apprenticeship. Creative Education Institute makes hiring decisions based solely on qualifications, merit, and business needs at the time.

Publications:
Creative Education Institute (CEI) is committed to diversity and inclusion, not just in our hiring practices, but also in our program materials. We are the sole source of our software and the accompanying digital materials. In creating these resources, we follow a set of publication standards that cultivates diversity, equity, and inclusion. All materials are subject to editorial changes for reasons of content, diversity of portrayals and matters of grammar and style.

Program Resources:
Our support plan provides for supplementary materials such as math mats and manipulatives, bin cups, storage boxes, and recognition awards. When we go through our competitive procurement process for these resources, CEI promotes, to the maximum extent allowed by law, participation by SWMBE. We welcome bids from Women-Owned Businesses (WBE), Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUB), Minority Business Enterprises (MBE), Small Business Enterprises (SBE), Veteran Business Enterprises (VBE), Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE), African American Business Enterprises (AABE), Hispanic American Business Enterprises (HABE), Asian American Business Enterprises (ABE), Native American Business Enterprises (NABE), Disabled Individual Business Enterprises (DIBE), and Emerging Small Business Entities (ESBE).
