Essential Learning Systems™ (ELS™) uses a combination of software and one-on-one coaching to address your students’ reading, language, and learning development. When you purchase an ELS lab, CEI® includes a third-party assessment that provides information about a student’s basic reading skills and helps you determine which areas need improvement. The program then accelerates that improvement through a combination of eight scientifically proven, customizable elements:

ELS also includes CEI‘s Letter Recognition™ (LR™) component. Letter Recognition’s focus on phonemic awareness and letter recognition skills is especially helpful if you serve beginning readers and English Language Learners (ELLs).
Both ELS and LR incorporate frequent mastery checks, positive reinforcement, and motivation to prevent frustration and ensure students receive their therapy in a secure, successful environment. The result is improved performance on the program, in the classroom, and on standardized tests.
