Is Letter Recognition for you?
Letter Recognition (LR) develops many of the skills students need to be successful upon entering school. Children as young as three years-old learn to:
- read letters of the alphabet quickly and accurately
- color, trace and write letters
- associate letters with words and pictures
- use capitalization when appropriate
- follow simple sets of directions to complete an activity
- use basic computer skills
While LR prepares younger children to enter school, it can benefit other types of learners as well. If a child who is already in school exhibits any learning problems or disabilities, LR can help you identify which skills need improvement. This early intervention can prevent some of the outcomes- including emotional problems, social impairments, and behavior issues – often associated with failure to read. How do I know if I won a Free Letter Recognition program?
We choose winners at random and will notify you via email within 7-10 days of our receiving your entry. Once you have downloaded and activate the program, you can access LR lessons from the comfort of your own home…around the globe. All you need is a Windows or Macintosh desktop computer with internet access.
